Heinz good food policies

Our promise to provide our customers with Good Food Every Day means we use only the highest-quality ingredients and cooking methods:

• We use the freshest ingredients. We aim to use only the freshest ingredients at all times.
• We don’t use genetically modified (GM) ingredients. None of the vegetables we use in our foods has been genetically-modified. None of the lamb and poultry we use has been fed genetically-modified feed.
• We care about animal welfare. All the meat we use is reared according to European animal welfare standards.
• We’re using free-range eggs more and more. We are working towards using only free-range eggs in all our products.
• We only use natural flavourings. We don’t use any artificial flavours in any of our products.
• ‘Suitable for vegetarians’ means just that. Heinz products that are labelled as suitable for vegetarians contain no meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or meat by-products, such as rennet or gelatine.
• We only use proper cuts of meat you’d use in your own kitchen. We take care where we buy our meat, making sure that it’s all cuts of meat you’d find at your local butcher’s.
